Harmony Vet Care loves teaching! We are an approved rotation through the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine for Shelter Medicine and Practice Based Medicine in addition to general elective rotations. As well, we have also hosted students from a number of other vet schools across the country!

Rotations are generally two weeks and include a variety of spay/neuter, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and exams. They are scheduled throughout our three locations in Brandon, Carrollwood and Oldsmar.

On your rotations you are likely to be exposed to a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. Our full service clinic is equipped with digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, in house blood machines, and cold laser.

We offer convenient and affordable student housing located central to our three locations. It is a charming 1,000 sq ft single home with utilities and internet. Rent is $100/week. The drive to each Harmony location from the student housing is approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.

We believe the best way to learn is to jump in! Please have basic medical and surgical knowledge including:

  • Performing a medical exam
  • Sterile gloving technique
  • Aseptic technique
  • Tissue handling
  • Suturing
