Michelle King, DVM

Dr. Michelle King attended Florida Gulf Coast University and graduated summa cum laude in Biology with extensive research in Applied Ethology (Animal Behavior). She then attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine where in her off time she co-directed an organization called VIDA to provide low cost high quality veterinary care to small island nation states in the Caribbean and South America, in addition to research on the efficacy of spay/neuter on populations of feral cats in small island states.

Dr King attended The University of London, Royal Veterinary College for her clinical year where she was privileged to study at the Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Shelter in Camden, London UK. Dr. King spent her first few years after graduation in private practice, then began her foray into shelter medicine at the Humane Society Tampa Bay and is proud to join the incredible team at Harmony Vet Care. Her special interests include dentistry and preventive care.

In her spare time Dr. King enjoys native plant and food gardening with her husband, vegan baking, and spending time with family and their small zoo consisting of 2 cats, 3 dogs, silkie chickens, a giant rabbit, turtle, tortoise and fish.
