Melanie Bizzarro, DVM

Dr. Melanie Bizzarro grew up in a small town in northern Pennsylvania. Her love for animals started at a young age with her beloved childhood dog Minnie. Her love for animals continued to grow through her childhood and into adulthood. She then made her way to Pittsburgh to earn her undergraduate degrees and her love for high quality low-cost vet care blossomed during this time when she started working with one of her professors who was a veterinarian working in high-quality-high-volume-spay/neuter.

Dr. Bizzarro then went to The Ohio State University to earn her masters degree and her doctorate degree in veterinary medicine. Her love of providing accessible affordable care continued to grow during this time. She spent one year working in a municipal animal shelter in the Ohio area. She then decided to continue her education by completing an advanced training internship in shelter medicine with the University of Florida.

During her internship, Dr. Bizzarro spent time at Harmony Vet Care and saw her passions aligned with goals and objectives of Harmony vet care. This led Dr. Bizzarro to stay on as Executive Director and veterinarian after completing her internship at the end of June 2024.
